Several years ago we had a couple of requests from long-time leagues looking for local owners to participate in in-person drafts and other league sponsored activities. So we decided to start posting a list to see if it would be helpful -- it was, so we're back again.

If you're a league looking for local owners, send us some of the details about your league -- especially location, entry fee, payout, draft date, and any obligations owners have to attend various events, and we'll post a note for you.

New England Rotisserie League, New England

We (the New England Rotisserie League) are looking for a manager to assume control of an orphaned team in a long-standing (30-plus years), 5x5 AL-only keeper league with minor league reserves. Entry fee: $325, plus nominal transaction fees. Freeze lists due the Saturday before the season starts; draft the Saturday after the season starts (March 28 this year). The team that needs a manager has some nice keepers, including:
$22 Bobby Witt
$11 Jacob deGrom
$20 Cal Raleigh

So, it’s by no means a lost cause. (At worst, a savvy owner could hold an open auction for Witt -- it’s the last year of his contract -- and jump start a rebuild.)

The league is primarily based in the Boston area, though there are a couple of far-flung managers, and we draft online (though we may try to get the local owners together in the same room for camaraderie sake). Constitution available upon request.

Gotham City Fantasy Baseball, Internet

Gotham City Fantasy Baseball is looking for two or three generalmanagers to join our competitive, yet friendly league. Draft is Saturday, March21ST, 830AM EST via Zoom. League is in its 39th season. 225 buy-in. We arelooking for serious participants. It’s a daily rotisserie style league. (7X7), withthe draft being a game within itself. You’ll have a 225 draft day budget toamass a 25-man squad. 10 offensive players (All 8 fielding positions plus 2utility players) and 10 pitchers (5 SP and 5 RP), plus a five-man bench of yourchoosing.) The first 3 rounds are open auctions, the next 17 are sealed bid,and the final 5 are snake. Money saved at the conclusion of the draft carriesover to your in-season budget of 225. The Walter Johnson League, Alexandria, VA

A 39-year league is looking for a new owner. We have a favored in-person draft in Alexandira, Virginia, but a couple of owners can't make it in-person, so Zoom is available. Our Draft is Saturday, March 28th, from 9:00 to 3:00. Not a big money league. Total cost is $50. We're in it for the fun. The league: We are a 10-team A.L.-only league, 'classic' 4X4 - homers, RBIs, stolen bases, BA; wins, saves, WHIP and ERA. Our draft is an auction draft. We're a keeper league, carrying over 7 to 15 players. Four 'true' minor leaguers selected in a snake draft. We are a low-key, enthusiastic league. Heavy emphasis placed on Draft Day, with limited in-season moves to alter rosters. We use OnRoto as our stat service.

The rosters you see will be modified by expired contracts, players lost to the N.L. (We don?€?t follow them.) and unsigned Free Agents. Our Draft this year will be very interesting and rich, with Aaron Judge, Cal Raleigh, Yordan Alvarez, George Kirby, Logan Gilbert, Riley Greene, Trevor Story, Kenley Jansen, Anthony Munoz among those available to be drafted, as well as the new talent from the N.L., Pete Alonso, Dylan Cease etc.

Alternatively, if you would like to draft, but can't commit to running the team in-season, we have owners in just the opposite situation. So if you would like to spend a day drafting, then walk away, that, too is available.

ONE opening only - we have 11 teams.

1. NL only, a draft and hold format (no trades, no keepers, annually one and done). FRESH player pool each year. FAAB and waiver wire components added for 2026 – 10 week, $100 FAAB budgets ($5 minimum per player) for acquisitions starting 1st week of May, ending with MLB All Star game. Bids and waiver claims made on OnRoto weekly.
2. 40 +/- roster. 25active + reserves. No restrictions on player status for rosters except must be NL. Positional requirements, no free agents for active roster (reserve round ok for FA).
3. Flat fee -- no extra fees.
4. 5x5 format, SOLDS replacing Saves (1 point for holds, 2 points for saves).
5. Draft format -- no auction. Snake format.
6. Early draft for main/active player roster, and a second draft closer to opening day for the reserve rosters. Both will be ZOOM drafts.

   Monday,March 2nd DRAFT ORDER selection;

   Monday,March 9th ACTIVE ROSTER draft; and

   Monday,March 23rd RESERVE ROSTER draft.

7. Buy in price $425+ the cost per team for stat service (less than $15) - again, no other fees. Buy in fees due one day prior to DRAFT orderlottery/selection.

Elmhurst Baseball Association, Albany, NY and Internet

AL only 12 Team Internet based Keeper League in the Albany, N.Y. area is looking for owners to fill the vacancies of four existing franchises. Once filled, a dispersal draft will take place between the four teams. Living in our area is preferred, but not a requirement.

We use a 5 x 5 Scoring System which consists of the 8 basic categories with K's and Runs added.

Prize money payout is for the Top four places with the 1st place champion winning base of $700.00.

League fee is $150.00 which includes a $75.00 escrow accountant used when making transactions. We welcome co-ownership teams as well.

The draft is set for Saturday, March 28th. The draft is held online with the option to meet in person. The people who meet in person are in southern Maine. This is after the start of the season. All stats prior to the draft will be counted onto your lineups when rosters are officially set. We do a minor league draft after the actual auction draft. You give up a draft pick for every minor leaguer that is kept.
