How are Free Agents bids/claims sorted out? (A note about the "Rotating priority list" option: It's like a pre-determined draft order -- it has nothing to do with the league standings, is maintained by the commissioner and it carries over from one week to the next. Almost no one uses this option.)
One league has asked for the option to use a snake-draft order for sorting bids. Is it yours?

On which days are owner free agent bids/claims due (check all that apply). Note that this question is asking about the deadline for owners to submit their bids or claims, and NOT when the moves will take effect. NOTE ALSO: We treat "midnight" as "0:00 on the following day", so if you want your deadline to be at midnight, select the next day as the due day -- "Monday at 0:00" for "midnight Sunday," for example.

By what time must owner free agent bids/claims be entered (all times EDT)? (Bids will be sorted and posted within minutes of this deadline).
On which days do you want the winning free agent bids/claims to take effect? Most leagues should select "the next regular line-up change day". Only leagues which have Bid-Meister deadlines which may sometimes fall after the first game of the day has started need to select "the same day that bidding ended." Note: NO ONE except the ER League should select the 3rd option about the transactions being effective retroactively.

Do any unfilled DL slots count as open slots that can be filled in the Bid-Meister?
Can minor leaguers be picked up using the Bid-Meister?
The list of minor leaguers displayed as available for pick up will include unisgned players -- MLB free agents, international players, college and high school guys, etc. One league has asked that these players be excluded. Do you want to remove such players from the bid-meister listing?
In a very small number of leagues, the sum of an owner's pending bids can not exceed his remaining balance. For instance, if you have $50 left, you may not bid $20 on each of 3 players. You may bid $20 on one player and place contigent bids of $20 on each of two other players as your 2nd and 3rd choices should you not get the first player -- you just can't try to pick up all 3 players at once. Do you use this rule (most leagues will want to say "no" to this).
Do you use the "Vickrey" system, in which the winning bid for a given player is reduced to the next highest bid on that player plus a given amount (usually $1)?
How much do you add to the next highest bid to get the final winning bid in your Vickrey system (usually it's $1)?
Some leagues set a threshold below which Vickrey is turned off, i.e., bids below a certian amount are not reduced. In addition, bids above this threshold are never reduced below the threshold, even if there are no other bids. Do you do this?
What is your Vickrey threshold?

When determining the standings order in which owners are awarded their bids or ties are broken, do you use the current standings or the standings as they were back when the most recent scoring cycle began (which would be the standings as of one week earlier for most leagues)?
For the first week's bids, if there are no standings yet, should we:
A very small number of leagues (1, so far), have requested that owners not be allowed to submit "contingent bids" -- such as "Bid $5 on Player A; if I don't get him, bid $4 on Player B". Do you want to prevent owners from submitting contingent bids? Remember, almost everyone should answer "No" -- answering "Yes" means owners will not be allowed to do this.
Would you like the system to automatically insert your bids or claims, provided that there were no errors? If you don't use this option, the commissioner can enter the moves with a single click if he determines that they are correct upon inspecting them.
Would you like the commissioner to have the ability to enter Bid-Meister moves for individual teams? Note that if you invoke this option, the commissioner will be able to see (and alter) everyone's bids before they are sorted.
Since you're moving your transaction deadline during the All-Star Break to the Thursday after the game, do you also want to change the day your Bid-Meister transactions are sorted to the Thursday (or Wednesday, if you normally run the Bid-Meister in the evening) following the game?
Sometimes a free agent will get hurt or be sent to the minors (and so no longer be a free agent) after an owner has placed a bid on him but before the Bid Meister deadline. When this happens, should the Bid Meister:
The system was originally set up to prevent owners from placing higher value bids on lower priority players in the same bid block. For example, you couldn't say "bid $5 on player A, and if I don't get him, bid $10 on player B." We did this because if multiple owners entered a lot of increasing value bids on the same players, the sort program could get "stuck" and not converge. But we know there are times when owners legitimately want to increase their bids, and we've also improved the sort program so it should now converge most of the time when it sees this. Therefore, we're offering an option to allow higher value bids in the same block. Do you want to permit owners to increase their bids on lower priority players within the same bid block (saying "yes" allows this)?
A small number of leagues (1, so far) have asked that owners be warned when placing bids to replace players who are still on MLB active rosters. Would you like to have your owners warned of this?
A small number of leagues (1, so far) have asked that owners be prevented from reserving or activating players in the bid-meister. Would you like to PREVENT owners from doing this?
One league has requested that even though all free agents must be added as active, they don't have to remain active through the first transaction cycle. Do you use that rule (Hint: probably not...)
Do you want to run the Bid-Meister in the pre-season, before your draft, when teams have only partial rosters? Note, we've had only one request for this, so you probably do not want to do this.
Do you want to continue to run the Bid-Meister in the post-season, after the season is over?
If you use the Bid-Meister in the post-season and you use FAAB, do you need to reset the FAAB spent to $0?
A handful of leagues have requested that the full set of bids not be exposed after the Bid Meister has run, so that any contingent bids that ended up not being necessary remain hidden from the rest of the league. This makes sense in leagues which limit the number of pick-ups each week, and exposing all the bids might give away intended pick-ups for later weeks. Would you like to suppress the exposure of bids? (A report will be displayed instead.)
When do you want the Bid-Meister to first run? This question is mainly relevant to leagues who draft well before Opening Day and don't want to program to run until it gets closer to the start of the season. Note, normally when we refer to dates, we are talking about "effective dates" -- when transactions are to take effect. This is one of the few instances in which we're talking about calendar dates.
