Prior to Opening Day, many injured players who will definitely start the season of the DL will not have yet been placed their officially by their MLB clubs. Because so many leagues want owners to be able to place such players on the DL before Opening Day (or, in 2012, before the North American Opening Day), we manually add players to the DL before it becomes official, provided it's 100% certain that the players will start the season on the DL. Some old school leagues don't want these players on the DL. Do you want to opt out?
